Wordless books are a great way for students to create their own stories. Students can look at the pictures and by using their own words, they can help decide what happens in the book. Wordless books can be great for parents as well too. Parents can create their own stories with their kids and change what happens every time they read it. The most amazing thing about this book was how elaborate this illustrator made their pictures. They are beautifully done and they make you feel as if you were actually in the story with the frogs.
I also read a wordless picture book by David Wiesner. He truly is an extraordinary illustrator. His pictures seem to tell multiple stories and really allow for students to use their imagination. They really are something else. I really liked reading about how you incorporated on how parents could use these books when reading to their children. Your idea could really be resourceful for parents who struggle with getting their child to want to read. It would be interesting to have students respond to these pictures. I bet students would create some very lively and unique stories.
